Hi Andrea,
I use "MeshLab" for this.
It's not a viewer but a mesh-processing system, but it can open .stl
files and it's open source. And you can view .off files and many other
formats, too.
The download is available at http://meshlab.sourceforge.net/
Ciao, Jan-Philipp

| Dear all,

| I'm a new user of the CGAL library; in particular, I'm interested in
using parts concerning streamline placement. I've compliled and executed
the example stl_regular_field, and it produced the file
streamlines_on_regular_grid_1.stl.
| How can I visualize it? Is there a viewer for .stl files?
| Of course, I could use the demo based on Qt, but I'd like avoiding to
install it.

| Best regards,
