Dears CGAL users,


For the first time, a beta release of CGAL will published. CGAL-3.4-beta1 
will 
probably be published next week, if everything goes well, just before 
Christmas.


We have decided to publish a beta release of CGAL-3.4 because CGAL build 
system will change. It will no longer be based on a home-made script 
(remember ./install_cgal?). Next release of CGAL will use CMake:

    http://www.cmake.org/

Before that release, you can start by installing CMake >= 2.4.5 on your 
machine (CMake >= 2.6 is recommended, since it supports a cross platform 
GUI "cmake-gui").

If you are willing to compile new Qt4 and OpenGL demos that will be shipped 
in 
CGAL-3.4, you will also need to install soon or later:

  - Qt4 (>= 4.2)

  - libQGLViewer
    http://www.libqglviewer.com/
