Hi Ben,

we would be glad if you volunteered for becoming a guinea pig,
as we have an algorithm in the development/submission pipeline that
allows to simultaneously simplify many polylines in a topological
correct way.

As it didn't go through the reviewing process yet, there might be
API changes between the current and the official version, but it
is a rather small API.
