Hello Chu,
It all depends what you mean with "support".
Each CGAL release is tested on some platforms (OS+compiler)
and the release notes list the "supported platforms"
for a each release.
As some changes in CGAL from one release to the next
one are due to changes in compilers, things may stop to
work if you switch to a more recent version of a compiler.
We don't see an interest to backport bug fixes to old
releases while maintaining the API, but encourage users
to upgrade their version of CGAL and live with small
API changes over time. We make an effort not to make
too big API changes, and if possible keep old APIs
at the same time.
