Hi folks--
I've been getting a run-time crash while trying to debug a CGAL program, and I've finally tracked it down to the following issue:
It seems the pre-compiled mpfr-vc90-mt-gd.dll file that is automatically installed by the CGAL Windows installer depends on the Microsoft Debug Runtime for VS2005 (msvcr80d.dll)--at least, that is what the Dependency Walker (http://www.dependencywalker.com/) is telling me.
Note that the Release version of my program does not crash, since that one links to the redistributable VS2005 runtime (msvcr80.dll).
I didn't have this problem before, until I got a new machine at my lab (Windows 7 x64) and it did not come with VS2005.
The work-around is probably to install VS2005 to get the appropriate dll installed on my machine, but I'm sure not all folks out there will be able to install such an old version.
Is there any chance that the pre-compiled mfpr library can be fixed to remove this dependency? Can anyone suggest another work-around?
About my system:
Using boost 1.36.0, compiled by me.
Using CGAL 3.6.1, installed using the Windows installer. Selected VS 9, all runtime variants, for x64.
Thanks in advance!
Cheers,
Jacky.
