If you really want to compile TAUCS with gfortran, you should also:
- change LIBBLAS in taucs_full/config/linux64.mk to indicate the name of 
BLAS libraries on your machine
-  remove the libraries precompiled with g77 in 
taucs_full/external/lib/linux64/
- compile Metis with gfortran and copy libmetis.a in 
taucs_full/external/lib/linux64/.
Metis is available in TAUCS >> 3.5 >> taucs_external_src.tgz on CGAL 
download page https://gforge.inria.fr/frs/?group_id=52
- run again configure and make in taucs_full/
