- Subject: [cgal-discuss] 3d mesh triangulation : Cell orientation
- Date: Thu, 9 Sep 2010 04:59:34 -0700 (PDT)
Hi,
I am writing some code to perform finite element analysis and I need to
extract the orientations of each facet after performing a 3d triangulation.
To check if the code performs correctly I am performing a 3d triangulation
on a very simple 3d image which consists of 1 only. Overall I get really
good results. However a few cell seems to be inconsistently oriented, some
are due to slivers. However I manage to deal with them seperately. But I
still get cells inconsistently oriented for non-slivery cells. They seem to
mostly occur on the edges. Is it possible to get cells which corresponds to
no material (or corresponding to void) i.e. with no subdomain index?
