Hi there,
I'm trying to install CGAL on Cygwin, latest versions. I keep getting stuck
with the following error when issuing "cmake .".
***
Unable to find the requested Boost libraries.
Boost version: 1.43.0
Boost include path: /usr/include
The following Boost libraries could not be found:
boost_thread
***
I installed the boost package during my Cygwin install. I compiled/ran test
C programs. I compiled/ran a test C program I found online that was designed
to test boost and multithreading (I think). It seemed to work. Yes, I'm in
over my head.
I'm following the installation manual, and trying to find other hints
online, but to no avail. I think what puzzles me is the following statement
in the manual:
"Since boost.thread is required, make sure to either install the precompiled
static binaries for your compiler or to build libboost-thread."
I don't really know what that means. But, when I included the boost package
in my Cygwin installation, I'm guessing that did not create precompiled
static binaries that I need. Is this my missed step? If so, any help on how
this is done would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks very much,
UL
