Dear all:
I am trying to do Boolean operations and volume calculation on 3d mesh
files.
What I wish to do is for example, say I have three 3d mesh files A,B &C.
Then I would like to calculate the volume of A ∩ (B U C).
Right now I have
1. saved my models into 'stl' files(sizes are about 1MB) - (I'm able to
save the models into most of the popular file formats)
2. converted to 'off' files
3. use 'Polyhedron' demo program to read the 'off' files
4. convert the files into nef polyhedron
5. compute Boolean
I was planning to modify the 'Polyhedron' demo file and make a quick and
fast routine program
but converting the polyhedrons into nef polyhedrons and vice versa is too
time consuming.
Would there be any better suggestions to improve speed? Am I going in the
right direction?
Also about volume calculation.
Is there anyone who can share the source code to calculate the volume from
this thread?

Thank you!
