Thanks for this. Actually they have adapted this code from this paper.

However this paper is intersection with rays and not segments and that is
why this problem. Do you how to officially report a bug to CGAL. I think
this is an important function and if this gives you wrong results then your
later operations will automatically be buggy. Thanks.
