Dear CGAL users,

We are happy to announce that the CGAL Project has been accepted
to participate in the Google Summer of Code 2012.
See http://www.google-melange.com/ for more details.

This means that Google is supporting the CGAL Project by funding
several internships, for writing code mentored by experienced
CGAL developers.

If you are a CS student with a solid background in geometry and C++,
if your schedule allows you to work full time in an internship
with a stipend offered by Google, and, maybe most importantly,
if you would like to not only use but also contribute to CGAL,
you should apply!

If you are a professor and have some master or PhD students who looks 
for a summer internship, you should advise them to apply.

We have already listed several ideas for projects and instructions
for applicants at http://www.cgal.org/project_ideas.html. If you find
a project that suits your expertise and interest, contact the mentor
of the project to get acquainted with her or him and to find out more 
details. Finally, feel free and contact us if you want to propose
something else for CGAL @ GSoC 2012.
