Apple has changed their license and the desktop version Mac OS X 10.7 can now
be run in a VM.
The caveat is, as usual, that it has to run on a Mac host, but it can be an
older version of Mac OS X.
VMWare should support this out of the box with no hassle.

I think this is a possible workaround, although pretty disruptive, and makes
it very inconvenient for people to take part in the development process.
If we accept that CGAL is legacy, this is a temporary solution, but it would
in practice mean that there will be motivation and initiative to move away
from CGAL into something which is better supported on that platform, which
would be a pity.
I do understand though, that your focus is on paying customers and that Mac
OS X isn't a priority.
