Dear list,

The Computational Lithography Group at Intel currently has a few open positions and is looking for candidates that have graduated in 2011 or 2012 or are planning to graduate in the second half of 2012. If you are interested, please send your CV to .

The two profiles we are looking for are described in more detail below.

Please forward this email to potentially interested candidates.

Best regards

Manuel Caroli

Profile 1:

Description

The individual will participate in the development of next generation computational lithography tools, which are an important contributor to Intel’s march along Moore’s Law. He/She will be required to develop new algorithms and invent new methods that eke out even more resolution from existing 193nm steppers. The duties also include supporting mission critical software in a production environment. The position requires working in a team with other developers, and interfacing with a large technology development organization. Good communication skills with demonstrated attention to detail and results orientation are required.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

-          Master’s or PhD degree in an engineering or science discipline

-          Demonstrated coding proficiency

-     C++ competency

-     Background in computational geometry or geometry algorithms related to CAD tool development is required

Preferred Requirements:

-          Experience in Optical Proximity Correction (OPC) and lithography simulation is desirable.

-          Familiarity with Technology CAD tools (numerical process simulators) is an added qualification.

Profile 2:

Description

The position involves working in a software development team focused on delivering cutting edge simulation tools employed for state-of-the-art lithography process development. In particular, the individual will develop and support lithography simulation tools, including rigorous electromagnetic solvers. Deep understanding of light propagation through dispersive and nonlinear media is required. It is expected that the candidate will efficiently apply such tools to find practical solutions of fundamental problems in technology development. Good communication skills with demonstrated attention to detail and results orientation are required.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

-  PhD degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline

-  Successful completion of graduate level courses/projects on electromagnetic theory

-  Experience in programming, preferably in C++, is required

Preferred Qualifications:

-  Strong background in imaging theory and/or photolithography
