I am new to CGAL and I hope you can help me with some pointers.
I have two surfaces made of triangular elements. For simplicity , one surface is a disk like a CD without the hole. The other surface is a cylinder also defined by triangles (I am not talking about solid element , but about 3d surfaces defined by triangles).
Now the disk cuts the cylinder, for simplicity , in the middle of the cross section. As a result I have two cylinders each with the half of the length of the original cylinder. lets say one cylinder above and the other cylinder below the disk.
I want to delete one cylinder , above the disk for example. Of course, as a result of the intersection my disk will have a hole , like a CD. Finally I would like to join the remaining cylinder with the disk , the final surface looks like a sink. This surface muss be defined by triangular elements.
Cheers
Julia
