Subject: SSIRI 2008: An IEEE Conference on Secure Software & Reliability Dear Colleague: We are very pleased to announce that the IEEE Reliability Society (RS) and the Systems, Man and Cybernetics Society (SMC) have co-sponsored a new conference SSIRI with a focus on Secure System Integration and Reliability Improvement. The conference is to be held from July 14 to 17, 2008 in Yokohama, Japan. The main topics of interest include integrating tools and approaches for developing reliable, secure, and trustworthy systems. All papers reporting innovative approaches, concepts and experiences throughout the entire product development cycle in software, hardware, and systems are encouraged. SSIRI is designed to bring together theory, applications, experience reports, as well as best-of-breed practices. It enhances situational awareness of developing trustworthy systems in today's challenging and changing environment. You may visit the conference web site http://paris.utdallas.edu/ssiri08 for more details. We invite authors to submit their original papers (not published or submitted elsewhere) with a maximum of eight pages. Include the title of the paper, the name and affiliation of each author, a 150-word abstract, and up to 8 keywords. The format of your submission must follow the IEEE conference proceedings guidelines which are available at http://www.ieee.org/portal/pages/pubs/confstandards/pdfs.html. Fast abstracts are also solicited for reports of on-going work, practical experience, new ideas that need to be further validated, or positions on controversial issues. Each fast abstract can have a maximum of two pages. The submissions deadlines for regular papers and fast abstracts are February 1, 2008, and April 1, 2008. W. Eric Wong Program Chair SSIRI 2008 |
