Sylvain, could you please add a simple test for this feature ? I guess you already have a piece of code using it in HaskellPU anyway :)

I'd be pleased to commit your patch and update the documentation, provided the whole thing works as expected.

I'm wondering how I could possibly test this feature. Is there a way to test if a handle refers to a non-destroyed data?

In the meantime I have committed the function in trunk for all the people around the world using HaskellPU that would want it to compile ;-)
