I'd say one thing that could help a lot here for readability
is to move the "not calibrated" greedy strategy out of
compute_all_performance_predictions.

I.e. when the task length is nan or zero, just jump into another
function without finishing the for loop. That function will receive
the ntasks_end, and tests about calibration, etc.
