Hi,

It is a Vite issue. I use version "the Visual Trace Explorer - version 1.2 - 
July 2010." 

The one from the package "vite_1.2-1_amd64_linux_binary" cannot open the 
trace, 
but the one from synaptics can open the trace, so they certainly add a bug 
fix.
