No, I am pretty sure that we don't test the 2.3.0 against recent
compilers. The 2.3.0 release is now 4-year old, and the compilers have
evolved a lot since then.

We should really make a new release, or at least tag some recent commit
as reliable, because only the current git version is tested and fixed.
