Hi.

Just for information, I noticed that lingen takes much more time when another
process is running. For instance, if you run 2 cado-nfs process, both on all
CPUs, lingen takes much more than twice the usual time to complete.
Well, I didn't report before, because I took the decision not to overload my
computers with more than one CADO process at a time.
The lengthy lingen process can occur also when computing some ECM besides
CADO.
I didn't report also because it may be environment dependent, and as such,
difficult to get the real cause.
Maybe this can give a clue.
