The problem I have is to connect up two seperate components of the polyhedron
class. For example, to create a new triangle that uses vertices from 2 or more
seperate meshes.
The functions that currently exist in the polyhedron class does not seems to
fulfill this functionality that i want.
After much searching, I see the potential in using the
CGAL::Polyhedron_incremental_builder_3<HDS> class to solve the problem.
There are 2 types of modes to use, one is RELATIVE_INDEXING, while the other
is
ABSOLUTE_INDEXING.
By using absolute_indexing, it seems to indicate that the size of the mesh
will
affect the speed of using it, since it needs to index all the existing
vertices
first.
it seems to solve my problem for now. I was wondering if anyone has a simpler
solution to this problem? It looks like a big roundabout to resolve a simple
issue.
thanks
