very good - I am sending to you (by email directly to avoid flooding the whole list) the application depicted in attached picture (fast and robust). perhaps we should one day add this to the polyhedron demo for the next release?

do you want to slice a triangle surface mesh? ie, a CGAL polyhedron (triangular) ?

this is not yet in CGAL but I have some code to do this - if you tell us more about the project (for education?) I can send this to you.
