Sylvain,

If you don't believe in the personalization in a forum, consider another point. I think CGAL has become quite a community, and you receive more than one email in a week. Imagine to yourself that from every forum I'm registered to (kitesurfing, cgtalk, avrfreaks...) I'll get an email from each person subscribed to it.

The mailing list works fine (save for the Chinese vacation replies), but I
concur that a forum would be much more efficient, for several reasons: First,
it is hard to keep track of the threads, and more importantly, on the important
tips and knowledge passed here. I believe (and I am sure I have done so myself),
that there are many repeating questions, which have to be repeatedly answered.

Second, it would be easier to communicate with attachments and code.

Third, and this might be subjective, but it's a little annoying getting an
average of 10 mails a day from the list (there are some days when this amounts
to 20-30+), to most of which I have no immediate relevance. A forum with a
(good) search capability would be much more comfortable.

Amir.
