Hi

In my research activities and in the framework of a MSc these (K. Hins Mallet), we have used CGAL  for the development of a Geosimulation tool based on the Voronoi diagram for polygons. For validation purposes we have used urban data for a gentrification application.

I am using CGAL to develop a general purpose GIS tool that will determine the intersection of two delaunay triangulations (Triangulated Irregular Networks).  I envision this tool being used to delineate flood inundation areas based on LiDAR ground surface data and triangulated water surface data, but it may have other uses as well.  Ultimately I would like to make this tool a plug-in for the QGIS program. Currently it is a stand alone application.  This is a personal project I am working on.
