CGAL users discussion list

I am an applicant for GSoc '11. But, I'm unable to subscribe to the mailing list of CGAL for GSoc '11 () . Please help me out so that I can start out with discussion of ideas.
Also, I haven't recognised the IRC channel for CGAL too. Please tell me if there are any ?

Please have a look at the GSoC web site, because  it makes no sense that
each mentoring organization replicates this information.

For your particular question please have a look at

but there is also a FAQ and lots of other useful information.
