Here is what I am after:
I have a 3d volume in the form of a cylindrical shape which might bends and
have different radii at different lengths.
a) I would like to find the length of this cylinder my idea is computing the
medial axis , straightening it and computing its length?
b) I would also like to subdivide the shape at various planes perpendicular to
its length. ie I define a starting plane and and ending plane along the length
of the shape and then clip the volume in between the planes.
If some one has some ideas with CGAL please I will be grateful to work and
develop this so I can learn CGAL myself.
Thank you
GT
