I decided to try something different. I downloaded the precompiled cgal
polyhedron demo
(http://www.cgal.org/Manual/latest/doc_html/cgal_manual/packages.html#part_VII),
imported my polyhedron converted it to a nef, and performed the boolean
operation. It worked perfectly. It also converted the result into a
polyhedron just fine.
I wonder where I'm going wrong. There must be something in my code... I'll
post some code next time (not on my main computer at the moment).
