If you want to preserve the points of the internal layers yes.
Otherwise, it is multi-domain mesh that the 3D mesher can handle.

Sorry, let me clarify what I mean. I've read the User Manual, and I see information in the Introduction section regarding subdomains and oracles which seems to do exactly what I need to do. However, I don't see anything about how to actually implement these things in the examples. There is an example of subdomains using a tagged image, but that's not what I'm doing. I don't necessarily need to have the layer boundaries preserved in the final mesh. I'd just like to use them as domain boundaries. The meshing itself doesn't need to be constrained Delaunay. Are there examples of this type of operation that don't start from a tagged image?
