Infinite tehtrahedron should not be a problem, you just stop walking.
I'm afraid I have to be able to step from one infinite tetrahedra to another
via the infinite face.

The infinite tetrahedra are just a trick to maintain the convex hull of the points,
so a infinite tetrahedron is a kind of representation of the convex hull faces.

If you want infinite tetra, you should define precisely what does that mean for
an infinite tetrahedron to intersect a line.
