Hi Francisco,

I am not expert on mathematical algorithm, I am “only”  trying to understand if CGAL already has the capability to compute the volume.

What I expect is to call in a software a method, for example: cellVolume= CGAL::computeVolume(cell);

Hope this it exists !

Regards to All

Hello Lisi

For that polyhedron or any prism you can calculate the volume using the normal area of each face and later applying the discrete form of divergence theorem. The routines aren't very hard to build.

Hello Andreas,

may be a simple picture explain better than my english.

My volume is made of cells that are positioned along 3 direction I  J K in the space

Thanks

Hello,

Are the faces of your hexahedra planar?

Best,

Andreas Fabri
