Could you provide us with the content of the config.log file, as well as
the output of

make V=1

In the meanwhile, you can probably fix the issue by passing
--disable-gcc-extensions
to ./configure, but it's just a workaround, and we need to fix the bug,
thus information about what went wrong on your system.
