Perhaps because it is not worth transferring the needed date on the
second device? How many tasks do you submit in advance? Things often
seem to behave oddly with just a few tasks simply because StarPU is not
finished initializing, tasks are not finished submitting yet, etc. You
could probably try with several dozens of tasks. How do they relate with
each other? What data do they require? Perhaps you can simply post the
source code which is posing problem?
