Because in some systems the version of automake can be older than the 
one used in the configure script leading to some non compatibility issues.
In addition, we may use it in some starpu versions where the configure 
script is not existing.

Using the following environment variables fixes the problem:
export LIBTOOL=/opt/local/bin/glibtool
export LIBTOOLIZE=/opt/local/bin/glibtoolize
