[Starpu-devel] Issues with asynchronous partitioning on temporary data

Hi,

I encounter 2 issues with StarPU.

I use both temporary data and asynchronous partitioning for some data within my application.

1. I would like to clean a partitioning plan of a temporary data as soon as possible in order to reduce memory consumption memory (ie. just after the last task using it ends). So, I would like to asynchronously call starpu_data_partition_clean by calling a function like starpu_data_partition_clean_submit, but this function doesn't seem to exist. Is starpu_data_partition_clean already asynchronous? Else, is it possible to do this with StarPU?

2. I want to plan&partition a handle, submit tasks that write into children and then unpartition&clean the handle to finally submit a task that read the big handle (all of this asynchronously). StarPU reports the following error: The data for the handle 0x2248430 is requested, but the handle does not have a valid value. Perhaps some initialization task is missing? datawizard/coherency.c:67: _starpu_select_src_node: Assertion `src_node_mask != 0' failed (this message appears during the task submission of the last one and the handle 0x2248430 is the big handle). But, the asynchronous unpartition should avoid this due to sequential consistency. What is wrong?  Am I using it properly? Is it allowed?
I can send a simple example where I encounter the error message.
