Hi all,
I've found an example in CGAL at Polyhedron\polyhedron_prog_cut_cube.
It may help me to explain my question more clearly.
According to my understanding, the program performs a cutting with
a plane on a cube. I've compiled the program and visualize the result
of it with and without the cutting operation, respectively.
Please look at the attched picture, the upper part is that after cutting,
while the lower is the cube before cutting. The polygon marked in red is
the result I need.
By the way, I have another question:
I have not found the explanation of the function CGAL::polyhedron_cut_plane_3(),
What is its semantics?
Thanks for your help.
Max
Re: Re: Re: [cgal-discuss] Cutting a polyhedron with a plane?
Hello
More strictly speaking, the result, to the knowledge and imagination of me,
could be:
1. null, or
2. single or combinition(could be adjacent or not) of any of (that are
coplanar with the given plane):
2.1. a point
2.2. a line segment
2.3. a polygon, with or whithout hole(s), a point or a line segment could be treated
as special cased of a polygon.
I'm wondering if I've described the question clearly enough.
Thanks and best wishes for new year.
Max
