Could anyone help diagnose the following error?
1. I believe I have successfully compiled CGAL with VC8. Using the CMAKE
dialogue to create a VC8.sln file, from which the lib(s) are built.
2. I can compile a few of the example files. But most example .exes give the
following error message:
"This application has failed to start because gmp-vc80-mt-gd.dll was not
found.
Re-installing the application may fix this problem."
As far as I can tell, >echo %PATH% shows the correct path to this .dll:
c:/Program Files (x86)/CGAL-3.4/auxiliary/gmp/lib
And all the other 'include' and 'library' files seem correct.
Is there some additional linking necessary for the gmp/lib (other than the
PATH
variable?) Or is there some other issue using the precompiled gmp libraries
directly from the windows installer? (Note: I am using MSVisualStudio
version
8.0.50727.42.) Any help/thoughts re: how to proceed would be greately
appreciated.

Hi Luke,
In order to compile CGAL 3.4 examples (or demos), you need an environment
variable
CGAL_DIR=c:/Program Files (x86)/CGAL-3.4. By default, CGAL 3.4 installer creates this variable.
Please create this variable if it does not exist (and relaunch VC++).
If the problem still occurs, please post CMake and VC++ outputs to this
mailing list.
