dear CGAL users,

I am happy to announce that CGAL has been selected for the Google summer 
of code (see http://socghop.appspot.com/site/home/site)

This means that Google is supporting the CGAL open source project by 
funding some internships potentially from all over the world, mentored 
by CGAL developers. See the timeline here: 
http://socghop.appspot.com/document/show/gsoc_program/google/gsoc2010/timeline

We have already listed a series of projects: 
http://www.cgal.org/project_ideas.html and some instructions about how 
to apply. In addition, we are open to other projects that you may suggest.

If you are a happy user, and wants to switch from user to contributor, 
please apply! if you have some master or PhD students who can spend 
their summer (full time) on a nice CGAL project - please advise them to 
apply.
