It turns out that we don't already have any list of uses for random
numbers within CGAL.
OTOH, there is one and only one class, CGAL::Random, that is used for that.
I did a grep for that class and it showed up in a number of places
(geometric generators, some algorithms, and test suites). Since a
significant part of this GSoC involves understanding and refactoring
the code to use the new RNG models, I figured that it would be a very
useful learning oportunity if you do the grep yourself and familiarize
with the code that needs to be refactored.
Of course, you are free to ask me directly about any specific piece of code.

Right now there is only one (CGAL:Random). It is documented and it's
fairly simple
