I don't know. I'm not an Ubuntu user. Depending on the Ubuntu release you are 
using
it might be possible to install one of the three package sets (if the 
installation
succeeds, then the library/demos/examples should work as well). If it is not 
possible
to install the packages due to library versions in the dependencies, then it 
should
be quite to easy to tweak the Debian source package to create packages for a 
specific
Ubuntu release.
