I have asked the list several times about the streamline routine Stream_line_2
with no responses. Am I the only one who uses this routine?
I can run the streamline example code (stl_regular_field.cpp), and modify it
to
plot my data, with constant values for density and separation. But I don't see
how to modify the code to find streamlines with separation distance as a
function of velocity (i.e. the distance between streamlines is proportional to
the velocity magnitude). As far as I can see the streamline separation is
controlled by the two *constant* values dSep and dRat, but these only change
the density uniformly over the field. How to make these functions of the flow
velocity magnitude, as is typically done in meteorology?
For an example of what I am trying to do, see Fig.7 of Mebarki, Alliez and
Devillers: "Farthest point seeding for efficient placement of streamlines".
