Hi everybody,

I couldn't find a precise definition of the facet_angle parameter.

The previous post confirmed it is the angle of facets on the boundary of the
volume mesh.

However,

are we talking about a lower bound limit for
(a) the angles of intersection between any two neighboring facets?
or is it (b) for the three angles between the sides that form a facet
triangle?

I have not quite developed an understanding why 30 degrees would be an upper
limit of this lower bound of the angle. It is therefore quite difficult for
me to set the parameter.

My understanding so far:
Should (b) be correct, I assume the facet angles cannot be forced into a too
narrow domain, because this would make the meshing procedure very
inflexible. On the other hand, I wonder why there is a need to limit this
angle. Should not the Delaunay criterium prevent the mesher from producing
surface tetrahedrons that are too sharp?

Thank you very much for a hint.
Best wishes
Walther
