Hi,

The reason I am looking into the use of StarPU and its OpenCL support is to see if it is feasible to integrate StarPU and our work on compilation to OpenCL (as a part of the PEPPHER project (
http://www.peppher.eu/ ) of which Codeplay and INRIA are both consortium members ). The work we have been doing is already working on Windows OpenCL, with a simple runtime (and also on OSX). However, it would be good if the work we have done on Windows could also be usable with StarPU.

I'd like to query if there is a possibility of StarPU being officially ported to Windows via the Visual Studio development tools e.g. to compile on Windows without the use of GCC and a Unix compatibility layer. The main motivation of this would be to allow the use of StarPU on Windows with the NVidia / AMD / Intel OpenCL SDKs on GPU / CPU, and our compilers that generate OpenCL.

Cheers,
George
