Now I am working on ridge edge detection. I have some questions with problems.
(1) Can Ridge Edge detection detect the shape-edge of the model? 
(2) [if (1) can do] I try to detect with the simple model like a cylinder of
which the facets are from the scanner. The problem is that I would like to
detect the sharp-edges, i.e. two circle-liked curves on the model but I
couldn't find it. In Fig__.6 Mechanical part (37kpts), I found that 
Sharp-edges
can detect easily with filtering the threshold, but for my case, it is not
easy. 
Could anyone solve this problem for me, please? 

Anyway, I set the command for ridge as ___.off -d 4 -m 4 -a 4 -t -4.
