Hello Leo,

it is possible to submit a task within a callback. Make sure the task is not synchronous as blocking calls are not allowed within a callback.

Please send any further request to starpu-devel (it will increase your chances to get a appropriate answer).

Regards,

Nathalie

Hi,Nathalie

I have a question about StarPU, does it support dynamic task creation,
what I mean is to submit another StarPU task within one StarPU task.

If it supports, could you give me an example code? Or could you check
where my example code got wrong in attached?

Thank you very much.

I think it works fine with the new version.

I attached the test result.

Thank you so much.

Now I have an old version of StarPU installed, if I want to install the
newest version, do I have to uninstall the old version first, if so, could
you offer me a tutorial on how to uninstall old version?
You just need to delete the directory where you installed StarPU. I
suppose you specified --prefix=some_directory when you called configure to
build and install StarPU. Deleting the directory specified above will delete
StarPU.

Nathalie

If you still have the build directory (the one you started configure, make,
make install from), you can also call "make uninstall" from that directory.
it will delete for you all the installed files.

Cheers,

Nathalie
