Thanks for promt reply.  It works fine now when I remove STARPU_NPCPUS=0. My bad. I did not think about it.
So it seems to be some problem with the opencl configuration/library we have. 

BTW - This same example(Vector_scale) works fine under Windows+MingW setup, when configured to use openCL.

So something to do with the Linux version shared library of openCL or moviSim may be. 
Need to dig more. Any pointers.

Errr, just do not set STARPU_NCPUS to 0...
