Thank you very much to both of you for the pointers, I will have a look at
them.
We use the power diagrams as a model for coated foam structures and got
quite good results this far.
But because we only need the finite cells and the border cells are, I don't
really know what to call it, relatively "unstable" or wild, we want to try
to use a periodic boundary condition. So that we can get one "good" cell for
each point we put in the triangulation.
This would make the optimization of the whole process faster and more
stable.
I hope this explains it a bit.
I am just the student who writes the software and not that deeply involved
in the actual research.
But if you want to know more, I am sure I can more information from my
supervisor.
