Indeed the statement you mention is redundant. I have removed it.
The example without the redundant statement will be included in the next release.

I also note that the line:

#include <CGAL/Arrangement_2.h>

seems to be useless in this program so can it please be removed? The
template instantiations already take too much compilation time without
yet another unnecessary header.
