Hi Alexandre,

I have been playing around with your data and I am not experiencing such 
a bad behavior of Mesh_3.

I based my test on mesh_3D_image.cpp (the one you can find in the latest 
releases), and changed the meshing criteria.

This example ran on your 300*300 example
with
>  Mesh_criteria criteria(facet_angle = 30, facet_size = 10, 
facet_distance = 1);
(which is quite coarse, for sure, and there is no criterion on cells here)

generates a mesh of ~184,000 vertices in ~30 seconds.

What quality criterion are you requiring?
