In other words: I don't understand why you have node=1 in your
backtrace: with a CPU-only system, without NUMA support, and without
disk, there should be only one node, node 0, for the main RAM.

Perhaps you should post the output of starpu_machine_display, so we can
be sure about what is enabled.
