you mean a triangulation of the interior of a torus in 3d (doughnut or
higher genus)?


If by 'triangulation of the interior' you mean a tetrahedralisation, then yes. Also see my response to Laurent. I realised that this might be a source of confusion. I used the term 'triangulation' since CGAL speaks in the packages that I'm using of a Triangulation_3D.

That's why I was trying to understand better. Your last two answers clarify your question better.

Globally, I would support Laurent's answer. Just triangulate the whole space and mark tetrahedra that are interior to your shape.

But if I understand well your other e-mail, you already have the tetrahedra in the interior as input. And you would need to fill the polyhedral holes, which is known to be sometimes impossible...
